About the Club

Who we are

The Railway Golf Club is in the green Eco Park campus at Mettuguda, Secunderabad. It runs under the South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA) and is managed by the Railway Golf Club Association. The club is open to serving Railway officers and staff, and also to private members from the wider golfing community.

An elected Managing Committee runs the club. It looks after the course, the club's finances, membership and the events calendar, and presents the accounts to members every year at the Annual General Meeting.

The course and its upkeep

The club has a 9-hole, par-36 course with sand bunkers, a water pond, a bridge across a fairway and carefully kept greens. Its own trained staff and caddies look after the course with mowers and other maintenance machinery, and the greens are treated regularly to keep them healthy. Off the course, members use the Fit & Putt gymnasium, a practice range with high safety nets, a volleyball court, golf buggy service, lockers and catering, all inside a gated campus with plenty of car parking.

Traditions and events

Every year the club hoists the flag on Republic Day and Independence Day, and hosts golfing outings with senior Railway officials. Coaching programmes and training camps help new players learn the game and help regular players improve.

Open to new players

In FY 2025-26 the club was listed on the Playo sports app, so more golf lovers can find the club and book a round. Regular visitors are welcome to apply for membership.
